Resize down rather than up whenever possible, and keep Lock Aspect Ratio checked so the picture does not stretch. With the lock on, enter one side and the other follows; presets fit your image inside the preset box without cropping. Printing instead? Pixels = cm x DPI / 2.54, so a 10 cm wide print at 300 DPI needs about 1181 px.
A phone photo at 4000 x 3000 px, resized at 50%, comes out at 2000 x 1500 px - same picture, a quarter of the pixels. The same photo fitted to the Square 1:1 preset (1080 x 1080 box) comes out at 1080 x 810, because the lock keeps the original shape instead of cropping or stretching it. A 3024 x 4032 portrait fitted to a 600 x 600 box comes out at 450 x 600.
Resize down rather than up whenever possible, and keep Lock Aspect Ratio checked so the picture does not stretch. Shrinking an image keeps it sharp; enlarging invents pixels that were never there, so a larger result always looks softer than the original.
Yes. Add as many images as you like, set one size, and every image is resized with the same settings. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.

No. Resizing runs 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Your images never leave your device, which also makes it faster than upload-based tools.
The resize still happens - this tool warns you instead of blocking you, because sometimes you genuinely need a bigger canvas. But if you request a size larger than the original, expect blur: the browser can only stretch the pixels it already has.
