US, UK, EU and JP sizes for men, women and kids - converted through your actual foot length, not a copied chart. Conversions are approximate. Brands vary. Always check the maker's size chart.
Worked example: a 270 mm foot is US men 10, UK 9, EU 43, JP 27. Try it above.
Published charts disagree with each other, because the systems step at different rates: a Paris point (the EU step) is 6.67 mm, while a barleycorn (the US and UK step) is 8.47 mm. That means the gap between an EU size and a UK size grows as sizes get bigger, and any chart built on one fixed offset is quietly wrong somewhere. So every conversion here routes through foot length in millimetres first: US men = 3 x (foot mm / 25.4) - 22; UK = US men - 1; US women = US men + 1.5; EU = (foot mm + 15) x 3 / 20; JP = foot mm / 10. Where charts genuinely conflict - women's EU sizes are the worst case - the result is shown as a range instead of a single confident number.
| US men | UK | EU | JP (cm) | Foot length |
|---|
| US women | UK | EU | JP (cm) | Foot length |
|---|
Women's EU sizes are shown as ranges because published charts conflict - for example a US women's 7 appears as EU 37-38 on some charts and EU 38-39 on others. The range is the honest answer.
| US toddler | UK | EU | JP (cm) | Foot length |
|---|
| US youth | UK | EU | JP (cm) | Foot length |
|---|
Kids sizes reset: after the toddler range, the scale starts again at US 1 youth, which is a far bigger shoe. Always check the toddler or youth label before ordering.
Stand on a sheet of paper at the end of the day, when feet are at their largest, and mark the heel and the longest toe. Measure both feet, fit the larger one, and leave about 1 cm of room at the toe. Enter that length above and the converter works out every size system from it.
Because the systems step at different rates. A Paris point (the EU step) is 6.67 mm, while a barleycorn (the US and UK step) is 8.47 mm, so the gap between EU and UK sizes grows as sizes get bigger and no single fixed offset can be right everywhere. Brands also build on different lasts, which is why this converter routes everything through foot length and shows ranges where charts conflict.
Yes. EU sizing is a single scale based on foot length, so an EU 43 is the same length for everyone. US and UK sizes split into separate men's and women's scales, which is why the same foot is a different US number for men and women.
It is simply your foot length in centimetres. A 270 mm foot is JP 27. It is the most honest size of all, because it skips the conversion charts entirely - if you know your foot length, you know your JP size.
Kids sizes run through toddler sizes first, then the scale resets: after toddler comes youth, which starts again at US 1. A US 1 youth is a much bigger shoe than a toddler size, so always check whether a size is labelled toddler or youth.
